We are seeking a results-driven Outside Sales Representative / Account Manager to develop and manage a sales territory in Calgary, Edmonton, and surrounding areas. With a pending retirement, this company is looking for someone who will be responsible for growing our customer base, maintaining strong client relationships, and representing our diverse product lines. This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission, rewarding your success in driving sales and expanding the market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand business in your territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Conduct regular client visits to provide value-added support and identify sales opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs.
- Provide product knowledge training and demonstrations to customers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve field issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses for management review.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales quotas and customer retention targets.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and service requests efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and sales activity.
- Support company initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the team.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in B2B sales, account management, or a related field, preferably within the door hardware, construction, or building materials industry. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential for success in this role. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while effectively managing multiple accounts. The ability to analyze market trends, develop strategic sales approaches, and deliver exceptional customer service is crucial. This role requires a willingness to travel within the assigned territory, along with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work independently and drive results.
