With a hub of activity whirling, the current open role for an Accounting / Finance Clerk who prides themselves on being client focused. Working for an engineering firm with a strong emphasis on delivering an exceptional experience, we are looking for an Accounting Clerk who can work with the outsourced Accounting firm to help with invoicing and some administrative duties. You will be expected to help create and process invoices for accounts receivable, communicate with client regarding invoice discrepancies or payments, and process incoming payments. The Finance Clerk will work with project managers and department heads to ensure current reporting for outstanding accounts. Periodically, there may be administrative responsibilities, including ordering office supplies, making sure front desk is tidy, support the project managers with RFP preparation and manage insurance requests and policy renewals. We are looking for someone who loves to toggle between billings and receivables but isn’t afraid to help with some general office work in a smaller office environment.

 

 

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 2 years of experience working in accounts receivable and office administration. Previous experience in a smaller office environment would be helpful. We are looking for someone who is computer savvy and won’t be intimidated by learning new software applications. Our client is a busy office, and they require someone who can juggle multiple priorities in a fast and changing environment. You are a proven team player who exudes courtesy and professionalism when dealing with clients on payment issues. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to solve problems is essential and excellent communication skills is needed. Bilingualism in English & French would be considered an asset. A diploma in Accounting or Office Administration would be highly desirable.
