The role of the Bookkeeper will work with an outstanding team between the GTA and National Capital corridor. We are looking for someone who understands their way around a balance sheet and income statement while proving to be a Quickbooks Desktop & Excel guru. Working within a small but intimate team, you will demonstrate your knowledge around the GL and accuracy with accounts payable & receivable. Some of your responsibilities would include, but not limited to the following:
- Support the staff accountant to ensure all account, credit card, bank statement and intercompany reconciliations are completed in a timely & accurate manner
- Analyze GL accounts and prepare adjusting and required entries.
- Assist with the month end closing and reporting needs.
- Apply internal controls and ensure transactions meet relevant government reporting rules and deadlines.
- Create B2B client financial statements and be available to discuss confidential financial information with the utmost discretion.
The Ideal Candidate will bring a minimum of 3-4 years of accounting experience and post secondary education in Accounting. You will be a self proclaimed expert in QuickBooks Desktop and Excel and thrive in an environment that loves to leverage technology efficiencies. This small, but highly engaged, team is looking to add to their fantastic great and the right team player with a great attitude is a perfect fit. Working with strong leadership, you will gain mentorship and be challenged to reach the next level and never be bored. Stellar time management and amazing communication skills are expected. Your role will require you to be internally and externally facing, so your ability to explain financial information to non-financial professionals is essential. Our client is unique in their industry, and as a result, require someone who recognizes confidentiality and trust is important. We are looking for an analytical thinker, who can bring time management, and heightened problem-solving proficiency is needed.
