They strive to be accountable to the donors and funding partners who make their work possible by making the most of all funds received and reporting transparently and holistically on results each year. They are currently seeking a Specialist, Gender Equality and Inclusion to join their phenomenal team.

As Specialist, Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI), you will be based in Ottawa, and lead/coordinate the GEI team which includes GEI officers, and leaders across the organization. You will advance organizational objectives as they relate to GEI, develop and provide guidance on the implementation of GEI projects and strategies across Sub-Saharan Africa, and integrate organizational GEI visions into program strategies and proposals. You will manage and coach GEI officers, develop and deliver training sessions for staff and community partners, and oversee the team budget and cost centre.

The Ideal Candidate will be fluently bilingual in English and French. You will hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as gender equality, feminist studies, media studies, communication/development studies etc… You will have at least 5+ years of experience in the development space (NGOs, CSOs) with women’s empowerment, gender equality, social inclusion. Demonstrated experience in program management, financial planning, contract negotiation and project reporting will also be required.
