Our Government Relations client is a voice for municipal governments and is currently seeking a Program Coordinator (Learning & Development) for a 4 month contract.
This role will be reporting to the Manager, Knowledge Management and Learning and will be supporting the knowledge mobilization team in developing key deliverables. Responsibilities include managing the production processes of knowledge products such as vignettes, case studies, online learning modules, tip sheets, and program reports, ensuring they effectively communicate the client’s learning, impact, and results. You will be involved in managing consultants and vendors, coordinating content for the online learning platform, liaising with program teams to identify compelling stories, and working with the Communications team to ensure adherence to format and branding guidelines. Additionally, as the Program Coordinator (L&D) you will update and organize tasks in their work management software, maintain critical paths and timelines, facilitate collaboration between internal groups, and participate in cross-functional team projects for client-wide initiatives.
  • University degree in a related field (public or business administration, adult education, political science, communications, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in project management/coordination, communications, and/or knowledge or learning content development
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with online learning and learning management systems, including instruction methods, delivery, facilitation, and learner needs analysis
  • Experience producing tools and resources (e.g., case studies, guides, spreadsheet tools)
  • Content development experience for the municipal sector is an asset
  • Knowledge of the Canadian municipal sector and experience with elected officials are assets
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a focus on working across internal teams and with external stakeholders
  • Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficiency in both official languages is an asset, with excellent oral and written communication skills in English required
