Our client is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to play a crucial role in advancing the strategic HR agenda at their municipal workplace. The ideal candidate will build strong, trusted relationships with business leaders, employees, and union leaders to foster a culture of collaboration, support, and high performance.

Acting in an interim capacity, the HRBP will provide tailored HR solutions that align with department objectives, enhancing employee engagement, development, and overall organizational effectiveness. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing HR strategies that support business objectives, collaborating with the HR team to design and implement programs meeting client needs, and ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures.

 

The HRBP will support labour relations efforts, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and provide coaching and feedback to managers and employees. In a unionized environment, the HRBP will handle employee relations matters, conduct thorough investigations, manage grievances, and maintain strong relationships with union representatives. Additionally, the HRBP will lead change management initiatives, develop communication plans and training programs, and ensure compliance with labor laws through regular audits and assessments. The successful candidate will excel in building and maintaining strong relationships, providing strategic HR guidance, collaborating effectively with the HR team, and managing employee relations within a unionized environment.
