Position Title: Inside Sales Representative

Salary & Benefits: $50,000 – $55,000 base salary, with $100,000 OTE and uncapped commissions, plus comprehensive benefits, vacation, career growth and development opportunities

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

Work Model: Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite per week.

Our Client is a fast-growing SaaS company in the learning systems domain. Recently partnering with a Private Equity firm, they are in major growth as they implement their go-to-market strategy. They seek an Inside Sales Representative to help achieve their sales initiative and company growth objectives

 

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in generating new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and closing sales within their dedicated sectors, verticals, and markets. You’ll be responsible for becoming an expert in the company’s sales methodology, running all opportunities through their qualification and sales process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Actively identify and qualify new leads through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and inbound marketing efforts.
  • Sales Discovery & Needs Assessment: Conduct in-depth discovery calls to assess prospects’ pain points, business goals, and technical requirements using proven sales methodologies like MEDDIC, GAP, SPIN, or Challenger Sales.
  • Product Demonstrations & Presentations: Deliver impactful product demos that highlight the value of our SaaS solutions and effectively communicate how they address specific business needs.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Own and manage a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring consistent follow-ups and accurate forecasting of sales outcomes.
  • Relationship Building & Client Engagement: Foster long-term relationships with prospects, ensuring a seamless transition from prospect to customer and a positive experience throughout the sales cycle.
  • Negotiation & Deal Closure: Lead negotiations, finalize deals, and collaborate with the Customer Success Manager for a smooth handoff and onboarding process.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in Salesforce to track activities, monitor sales progress, and ensure goals are met.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to refine strategies, share feedback, and contribute to achieving company objectives.
  • Competitive Market Awareness: Continuously stay informed about the competitive landscape to adapt strategies and maintain an edge.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of inside/outside sales experience, preferably in the SaaS or technology space, with a proven track record of success in B2B sales.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, GAP, SPIN, or Challenger Sales.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a large pipeline of opportunities effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas and driving high conversion and win rates.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools to track sales activities and manage opportunities.
  • Highly motivated, coachable, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with decision-makers and executives.
