Who We Are Looking For:
The firm is searching for a dynamic legal professional who is not only passionate about advocacy and strategic negotiation but also eager to take on leadership roles and drive the growth of the practice. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a variety of corporate commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, shareholder remedies, debt collection, enforcement actions, business disputes, and estate litigation.
- Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and mediation across diverse industries.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research, case analysis, and draft pleadings, motions, and legal opinions.
- Independently manage files from inception to resolution, including court appearances, discovery, and settlement negotiations, with strong mentorship and support.
- Provide strategic legal counsel on dispute resolution and corporate governance best practices.
What You Bring:
- Minimum of 6+ years of litigation experience, including Superior Court trials and motions.
- Proven courtroom advocacy skills and experience managing complex legal disputes.
- Expertise in contract law, shareholder disputes, debt enforcement, business and estate litigation.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and client management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple files with strategic foresight and leadership.
- Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- An entrepreneurial spirit with a strong desire to build and grow a practice.
